Chak Khundar is a village in Firozpur tehsil of Ferozepur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Guru Har Sahai, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Mamdot community development block and is served by the Chak Khunder gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034754, and it covers 109 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 342 people in Chak Khundar: 176 men and 166 women, living in 71 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household. Spread over its 109 hectares, the population density works out to about 313 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 943 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 40, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 267 people, about 78 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 64.57 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 73.55 per cent and women at 55.1 per cent. The census recorded 96 workers, about 28 per cent of the village. Of the 14 main workers, the largest group, 12, were other workers in trade, transport and services, ahead of 2 agricultural labourers.
