Tibbi Rang is a village of Zira tehsil in Ferozepur district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Makhu, about 11 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Makhu community development block and is served by the Mohamad Shahwala gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034260, and it covers 96 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 165 people in Tibbi Rang: 91 men and 74 women, living in 31 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 96 hectares, the population density works out to about 173 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 813 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 27, about 16 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 128 people, about 78 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 55.8 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 56.16 per cent and women at 55.38 per cent. The census recorded 67 workers, about 41 per cent of the village. Of the 53 main workers, the largest group, 28, were agricultural labourers, ahead of 21 cultivators on their own land and 4 other workers in trade, transport and services. A further 14 people were marginal workers, employed for only part of the year. ## Land and farming Farming covers most of Tibbi Rang's land.
