Lala Nangal is a village in Fatehgarh Churian tehsil of Gurdaspur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Fatehgarh Churian, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Fatehgarh Churian community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 028826, and it covers 51 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 436 people in Lala Nangal: 229 men and 207 women, living in 79 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household. Spread over its 51 hectares, the population density works out to about 855 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 904 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 45, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 7 people, about 2 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 85.42 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 93 per cent and women at 77.49 per cent. The census recorded 144 workers, about 33 per cent of the village.
