Mansur Manj is a village in Gurdaspur tehsil of Gurdaspur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Batala, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Kahnuwan community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 028333, and it covers 74 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 105 people in Mansur Manj: 57 men and 48 women, living in 17 households, an average of about 6.2 people per household. Spread over its 74 hectares, the population density works out to about 142 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 842 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 8, about 8 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 11 people, about 10 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 78.35 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 82.35 per cent and women at 73.91 per cent. The census recorded 29 workers, about 28 per cent of the village. Of the 27 main workers, the largest group, 19, were cultivators on their own land, ahead of 6 other workers in trade, transport and services and 2 agricultural labourers.
