Nangal is a village of Dasua tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Dasua, about 4 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dasua community development block and is served by the Kalyanpur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030757, and it covers 63 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 65 people in Nangal: 30 men and 35 women, living in 10 households, an average of about 6.5 people per household. Spread over its 63 hectares, the population density works out to about 103 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1167 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 11, about 17 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 0 people, about 0 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
