Achan Chak is a village of Phillaur tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Phillaur, about 4 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Phillaur community development block and is served by the Burj Pukhta gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030112, and it covers 186 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 138 people in Achan Chak: 69 men and 69 women, living in 26 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 186 hectares, the population density works out to about 74 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1000 women for every 1,000 men.
