The village falls in the Jalandhar (West) community development block and is served by the Malian gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030547, and it covers 51 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 89 people in Chak Mehmudpur: 48 men and 41 women, living in 19 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household.
