Dolike Sunderpur is a village of Jalandhar East tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Alawalpur, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Adampur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030314, and it covers 359 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 1,698 people in Dolike Sunderpur: 866 men and 832 women, living in 395 households, an average of about 4.3 people per household. Spread over its 359 hectares, the population density works out to about 473 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 961 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 162, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 1,042 people, about 61 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 82.03 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 86.97 per cent and women at 76.89 per cent. The census recorded 600 workers, about 35 per cent of the village. Of the 492 main workers, the largest group, 297, were other workers in trade, transport and services, ahead of 103 cultivators on their own land and 66 agricultural labourers.
