Goalpind is a village of Jalandhar East tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Alawalpur, about 4 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Adampur community development block and is served by the Talwara gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030310, and it covers 100 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 200 people in Goalpind: 103 men and 97 women, living in 43 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household. Spread over its 100 hectares, the population density works out to about 200 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 942 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 24, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 80 people, about 40 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
