Jhungian Mahansingh is a village of Phillaur tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Phillaur, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Phillaur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030115, and it covers 308 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 201 people in Jhungian Mahansingh: 105 men and 96 women, living in 29 households, an average of about 6.9 people per household. Spread over its 308 hectares, the population density works out to about 65 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 914 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 29, about 14 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 135 people, about 67 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
