Khusropur (Jalandhar II) is a village of Jalandhar West tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Kartarpur, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Jalandhar (West) community development block and is served by the Khusropur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030534, and it covers 254 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 1,413 people in Khusropur (Jalandhar II): 716 men and 697 women, living in 280 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 254 hectares, the population density works out to about 556 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 973 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 150, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 453 people, about 32 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 76.72 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 81.26 per cent and women at 72.13 per cent.
