Kotli Viran is a village of Jalandhar West tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Kartarpur, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Jalandhar (West) community development block and is served by the Rajab gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030518, and it covers 84 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 78 people in Kotli Viran: 38 men and 40 women, living in 12 households, an average of about 6.5 people per household. Spread over its 84 hectares, the population density works out to about 93 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1053 women for every 1,000 men.
