Rani Bhatti is a village of Jalandhar West tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Bhogpur, about 9 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhogpur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030506, and it covers 139 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 603 people in Rani Bhatti: 326 men and 277 women, living in 123 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 139 hectares, the population density works out to about 434 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 850 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 57, about 9 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 451 people, about 75 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 76.56 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 79.58 per cent and women at 73.15 per cent. The census recorded 216 workers, about 36 per cent of the village.
