Dhak Malikpur is a village of Phagwara tehsil in Kapurthala district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Phagwara, about 13 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Phagwara community development block and is served by the Malikpur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029589, and it covers 115 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 531 people in Dhak Malikpur: 291 men and 240 women, living in 110 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household. Spread over its 115 hectares, the population density works out to about 462 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 825 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 43, about 8 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 513 people, about 97 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
