Musa Khail is a village of Bhulath tehsil in Kapurthala district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Bhulath, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nadala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029089, and it covers 82 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 435 people in Musa Khail: 215 men and 220 women, living in 109 households, an average of about 4.0 people per household. Spread over its 82 hectares, the population density works out to about 530 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1023 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 43, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 106 people, about 24 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 71.94 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 77.72 per cent and women at 66.33 per cent.
