Chakli Kasab is a village of Samrala tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Machhiwara, about 18 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Machhiwara community development block and is served by the Nurpur Bet gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032991, and it covers 117 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 26 people in Chakli Kasab: 15 men and 11 women, living in 5 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 117 hectares, the population density works out to about 22 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 733 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 1, about 4 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 26 people, about 100 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
