Udhowal Khurd is a village in Samrala tehsil of Ludhiana district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Machhiwara, about 7 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Machhiwara community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 033010, and it covers 173 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 81 people in Udhowal Khurd: 41 men and 40 women, living in 15 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 173 hectares, the population density works out to about 47 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 976 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 8, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 64 people, about 79 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
