Sampurangarh is a village in Amargarh tehsil of Malerkotla district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Malerkotla, about 22 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Malerkotla-I community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039532, and it covers 131 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 49 people in Sampurangarh: 31 men and 18 women, living in 10 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 131 hectares, the population density works out to about 37 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 581 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 2, about 4 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 24 people, about 49 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
