Barkola is a village of Pathankot tehsil in Pathankot district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sujanpur, about 14 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Sujanpur community development block and is served by the Kamwal gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027403, and it covers 79 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 15 people in Barkola: 10 men and 5 women, living in 4 households, an average of about 3.8 people per household. Spread over its 79 hectares, the population density works out to about 19 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 500 women for every 1,000 men.
