Chak Madho Singh is a village in Pathankot tehsil of Pathankot district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Pathankot, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Pathankot community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027441, and it covers 273 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 776 people in Chak Madho Singh: 421 men and 355 women, living in 160 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household. Spread over its 273 hectares, the population density works out to about 284 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 843 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 84, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 269 people, about 35 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 82.51 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 87.13 per cent and women at 77.12 per cent. The census recorded 250 workers, about 32 per cent of the village. Of the 246 main workers, the largest group, 104, were other workers in trade, transport and services, ahead of 76 agricultural labourers and 64 cultivators on their own land.
