Nihalpur is a village of Pathankot tehsil in Pathankot district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Pathankot, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Sujanpur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027448, and it covers 50 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 181 people in Nihalpur: 88 men and 93 women, living in 39 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 50 hectares, the population density works out to about 362 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1057 women for every 1,000 men.
