Jhambali sahni is a village in Nabha tehsil of Patiala district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Bhadson, about 4 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nabha community development block and is served by the Jhambali Sahni gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036450, and it covers 101 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 490 people in Jhambali sahni: 267 men and 223 women, living in 106 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 101 hectares, the population density works out to about 485 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 835 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 52, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 205 people, about 42 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 72.37 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 76.57 per cent and women at 67.34 per cent. The census recorded 159 workers, about 32 per cent of the village. Of the 148 main workers, the largest group, 67, were other workers in trade, transport and services, ahead of 52 cultivators on their own land and 28 agricultural labourers.
