Sarangpur Panj Peda is a village of Balachaur tehsil in SBS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Balachaur, about 14 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Balachaur community development block and is served by the Dubholi gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032367, and it covers 206 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 49 people in Sarangpur Panj Peda: 24 men and 25 women, living in 7 households, an average of about 7.0 people per household. Spread over its 206 hectares, the population density works out to about 24 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1042 women for every 1,000 men.
