Theh Naushera is a village in Patti tehsil of Tarn Taran district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Patti, about 16 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhikhiwind community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038140, and it covers 185 hectares. ## Population and households The 2011 census counted 295 people in Theh Naushera: 152 men and 143 women, living in 48 households, an average of about 6.1 people per household. Spread over its 185 hectares, the population density works out to about 159 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 941 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 39, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 0 people, about 0 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded. Literacy in 2011 stood at 70.31 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 79.23 per cent and women at 61.11 per cent. The census recorded 93 workers, about 32 per cent of the village. Of the 93 main workers, the largest group, 91, were cultivators on their own land, ahead of 2 other workers in trade, transport and services. ## Land and farming Farming covers most of Theh Naushera's land.
