Udho Nangal is a village in Baba Bakala tehsil of Amritsar district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Batala, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Tarsika community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037797, and it covers 562 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 4,170 people in Udho Nangal: 2,172 men and 1,998 women, living in 793 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 562 hectares, the population density works out to about 742 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 920 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 495, about 12 per cent of the village.
