The 2011 directory recorded Guru Har Sahai, about 5 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Guru Har Sahai community development block and is served by the MANDIWAL, Motiwala gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034815, and it covers 228 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 1,552 people in Mandiwal: 824 men and 728 women, living in 278 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household.
