Where is Khera?

Khera is a village of Dinanagar tehsil in Gurdaspur district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Dinanagar, about 16 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dinanagar community development block and is served by the Chechian Chhaurian gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 028197, and it covers 97 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 107 people in Khera: 58 men and 49 women, living in 21 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 97 hectares, the population density works out to about 110 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 845 women for every 1,000 men.
