Niwan Dhakala is a village of Dinanagar tehsil in Gurdaspur district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Dinanagar, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 492 people in Niwan Dhakala: 248 men and 244 women, living in 81 households, an average of about 6.1 people per household.
