Where is Rupowali?

Rupowali is a village of Fatehgarh Churian tehsil in Gurdaspur district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Fatehgarh Churian, about 16 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dera Baba Nanak community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 028840, and it covers 260 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 988 people in Rupowali: 534 men and 454 women, living in 155 households, an average of about 6.4 people per household. Spread over its 260 hectares, the population density works out to about 380 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 850 women for every 1,000 men.
