Where is Sundal?

Sundal is a village of Fatehgarh Churian tehsil in Gurdaspur district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Batala, about 14 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Fatehgarh Churian community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 028799, and it covers 73 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 520 people in Sundal: 275 men and 245 women, living in 107 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 73 hectares, the population density works out to about 712 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 891 women for every 1,000 men.
