Taruwal is a village in Dinanagar tehsil of Gurdaspur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Dinanagar, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dinanagar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027847, and it covers 18 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 185 people in Taruwal: 93 men and 92 women, living in 39 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household.
