Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,181 people in Gidarpindi: 1,143 men and 1,038 women, living in 388 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household. Spread over its 451 hectares, the population density works out to about 484 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 908 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 179, about 8 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 491 people, about 23 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
