Where is Lohian?

Lohian is a village in Jalandhar West tehsil of Jalandhar district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Jalandhar, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Jalandhar (West) community development block and is served by the Mokhe gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030471, and it covers 66 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 95 people in Lohian: 57 men and 38 women, living in 11 households, an average of about 8.6 people per household. Spread over its 66 hectares, the population density works out to about 144 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 667 women for every 1,000 men.
