Where is Naurangpur?

Naurangpur is a village of Shahkot tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Shahkot, about 16 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nakodar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029855, and it covers 129 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 157 people in Naurangpur: 81 men and 76 women, living in 42 households, an average of about 3.7 people per household.
