The 2011 census counted 11,081 people in Kaunke (Jagraon): 5,847 men and 5,234 women, living in 2,160 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 2,627 hectares, the population density works out to about 422 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 895 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 1,166, about 11 per cent of the village.
