The 2011 directory recorded Tarn Taran, about 14 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Tarn Taran community development block and has its own gram panchayat. Population and households

The 2011 census counted 3,955 people in Kot Dharam Chand Kalan: 2,118 men and 1,837 women, living in 706 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household.
