Where is Mallewal?

Mallewal is a village of Ludhiana East tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Machhiwara, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Ludhiana-II community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 033383, and it covers 35 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 392 people in Mallewal: 222 men and 170 women, living in 86 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household.
