Mangli Nichhi is a village of Ludhiana East tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sahnewal, about 2 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Ludhiana-I community development block and is served by the Managli Nichhi gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 033494, and it covers 261 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,926 people in Mangli Nichhi: 1,757 men and 1,169 women, living in 768 households, an average of about 3.8 people per household. Spread over its 261 hectares, the population density works out to about 1,121 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 665 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 408, about 14 per cent of the village.
