Where is Ugoke?

Ugoke is a village in Patran tehsil of Patiala district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Ghagga, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Samana community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036291, and it covers 388 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,782 people in Ugoke: 936 men and 846 women, living in 339 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 388 hectares, the population density works out to about 459 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 904 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 206, about 12 per cent of the village.
