Where is Harnampur?

Harnampur is a village of Kharar tehsil in SAS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Kurali, about 11 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Majri community development block and is served by the Salempur Khurd gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039005, and it covers 263 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 123 people in Harnampur: 63 men and 60 women, living in 23 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 263 hectares, the population density works out to about 47 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 952 women for every 1,000 men.
