Kambali is a village of SAS Nagar tehsil in SAS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded S.A.S. Nagar, about 1 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Kharar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039178, and it covers 139 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,306 people in Kambali: 748 men and 558 women, living in 298 households, an average of about 4.4 people per household. Spread over its 139 hectares, the population density works out to about 940 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 746 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 203, about 16 per cent of the village.
