What Jugti collects and why.
Jugti is a news site. You do not need an account to read it, and we do not ask readers for personal information. This page explains what is collected when you visit the site and when you email us. It was last updated in October 2026.
When you visit
- Visit statistics. We use Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages are read. To do this Google collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location (worked out from your IP address), and your device and browser, and it uses cookies or similar identifiers. We use the results to understand how Jugti is used, not to identify individual readers.
- Your language choice. When you use the ਪੰਜਾਬੀ button, your browser remembers the choice on your own device. It is not sent to us.
- Server records. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site to speed it up and protect it, keep routine records, such as your IP address, the page requested and the time, to run and protect the site.
- Fonts. The site's fonts are served from Jugti itself, so loading them does not contact any other company.
Advertising
Jugti may show advertising. Ads are provided by Google AdSense and, in future, other advertising partners. These companies use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to measure how well ads perform, and to detect fraud. We do not see which reader is shown which ad, and we do not sell personal information.
Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a message asks for your choice before advertising cookies are used, and you can change that choice later from the privacy settings link shown on the site. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to Jugti and to other sites on the internet. To learn more or opt out:

- Google Ads Settings: turn personalised ads off
- AboutAds opt-out (Canada and the United States) and Your Online Choices (Europe)
Sharing
The Share button uses your device's share menu, or copies the page address. Nothing is sent to us when you use it. Once you share on a social network, that network's own privacy practices apply.
When you email us
If you write to [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you send. We use it to read and reply to your message, and we keep it for as long as we need to, for example to follow up on a correction. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who we share information with
We use these services to run Jugti: Google (analytics, Tag Manager, advertising through AdSense, and Gmail for our email) Hostinger (website hosting) and Cloudflare (security and delivery). They handle information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics collecting data about your visits. Many browsers offer tracking protection as well. To stop personalised ads, use the links in the Advertising section above.
Children
Jugti is a general news site and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes and questions
