Where is Sherpur?

Sherpur is a village in Lopoke tehsil of Amritsar district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Ajnala, about 15 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Chogawan community development block and is served by the Chhan Ghoga gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037159, and it covers 201 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 130 people in Sherpur: 70 men and 60 women, living in 20 households, an average of about 6.5 people per household.
