Population and households

The 2011 census counted 4,396 people in Wadala Viram: 2,357 men and 2,039 women, living in 768 households, an average of about 5.7 people per household. Spread over its 1,023 hectares, the population density works out to about 430 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 865 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 551, about 13 per cent of the village.
