Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,744 people in Gurusar Sainewala: 1,397 men and 1,347 women, living in 542 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 988 hectares, the population density works out to about 278 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 964 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 358, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 1,648 people, about 60 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
