Where is Chak Khelan?

Chak Khelan is a village of Hoshiarpur tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Gardhiwala, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhunga community development block and is served by the Chak--Khelan gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031386, and it covers 118 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 600 people in Chak Khelan: 295 men and 305 women, living in 137 households, an average of about 4.4 people per household. Spread over its 118 hectares, the population density works out to about 508 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1034 women for every 1,000 men.
