The 2011 census counted 2,203 people in Chak Paliwala: 1,126 men and 1,077 women, living in 439 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 498 hectares, the population density works out to about 442 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 956 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 297, about 13 per cent of the village.
