Population and households

The 2011 census counted 4,048 people in Dhandi Qadim: 2,091 men and 1,957 women, living in 716 households, an average of about 5.7 people per household. Spread over its 1,149 hectares, the population density works out to about 352 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 936 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 476, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 3,778 people, about 93 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 60.69 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 68.46 per cent and women at 52.6 per cent.
