The 2011 directory recorded Bassi Pathana, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bassi Pathana community development block and has its own gram panchayat. The 2011 census counted 985 people in Damheri: 531 men and 454 women, living in 178 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household.
