Majri Raian is a village of Amloh tehsil in Fatehgarh Sahib district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Amloh, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Amloh community development block and is served by the Majari Raian gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032863, and it covers 170 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 659 people in Majri Raian: 339 men and 320 women, living in 136 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household. Spread over its 170 hectares, the population density works out to about 388 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 944 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 75, about 11 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 266 people, about 40 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
